TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

Ultra355 Australia Triathlon

The above event will take place between Thursday 25 August and Tuesday 30 August 2022 at Urangan Pier Park, Hervey Bay. The following roads, car parking bays and spaces may be closed or have limited access to the public at times to facilitate the running of the event.

Pier Park Car Park

8:00am Thursday 25 August – 12:00pm Tuesday 30 August

Pilot Street between King Street and Charlton Esplanade

4:00am Saturday 27 August – 4pm Sunday 28 August

Urangan Pier Park

9:00am Thursday 25 August – 12:00pm Tuesday 30 August

Throughout this time, vehicle movements will be restricted to Emergency Service Vehicles and event vehicles.

The organisers of this triathlon event have Fraser Coast Regional Council & Police support & permits authorised by Queensland Police Service under Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995. Police officers, traffic controllers and event marshals will be enforcing these road closures.

We apologise for any inconvenience these temporary road closures may bring but we are sure you will agree that the safety of all residents, spectators, participants and personnel is paramount.

ABOUT HERVEY BAY

Situated on the south-eastern coast of Queensland, Australia, Hervey Bay is the gateway to K’gari (Fraser Island) , the largest sand island in the world. The Fraser Coast region where Hervey Bay is situated, has varied attractions, the most well known being the coastal drawcards of K’gari (Fraser Island) and Lady Elliot Island and some of the best Whale Watching in the world.

Watch whales and even swim with them in the protected waters between K’gari (Fraser Island) and Hervey Bay. Take a flight to Lady Elliot Island and snorkel or scuba dive at the beginning of the Great Barrier Reef. Accommodation is plentiful along the 10km long esplanade with spectacular water views everywhere.

Domestically you can fly directly into Hervey Bay airport, or it’s an easy 3.5 hours drive north of Brisbane.

Entry Fee: $1250 (inc active fee, plus Triathlon Australia event membership if you are not a TA member)

ULTRA355 AUSTRALIA - REFUND POLICY

Refund and withdrawal policy 

If you can no longer participate in the event for any reason, registration transfers and refunds are available in accordance with the below timeframes.

Entry fees are non- refundable and non-transferrable after these dates.

Refund dates

  • 75% refundable up until 10 May 2022
  • 50% refundable up until 10 June 2022

Refund requests must be submitted to the event team via email admin@ultra355.com. All refunds and transfers when processed are final.

If you are unable to attend the event due to COVID-19 border closures your entry will be rolled over to the following year.
